*Fun fact about the photo to get you excited about coming to this event: The animals in this photo are called Cotton Top Tamarins! The babies were born on February 22, 2024, and they are sitting on their mom Kida in this picture! They have recently been named Caitlin and Clark. Cotton Top Tamarins are a critically endangered species of monkey native to Colombia. The Blank Park Zoo is part of the Species Survival Program working to maintain their genetic diversity in the remaining population. Adult Cotton Top Tamarins grow to about 1lb and have highly complex social structures and languages including more than 30 distinct vocalizations.
